Spicy Sausage and Velveeta Dip

A meaty, cheesy, and a little spicy cheese dip that’s perfect for tailgating. Microwave times will vary based on the power of your microwave. This also freezes great so feel free to make a full recipe even if you are just feeding two.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground spicy pork sausage (I like Jimmy Dean Hot)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 lb block of Velveeta cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 16 oz jar salsa
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown hamburger and sausage along with the onion. Cook until brown and the meat is broken up into small pieces. Drain fat from meat.
  2. Add Velveeta and mushroom soup to a large bowl. Add meat.
  3. Microwave for 3-5 minutes, stirring once until almost melted.
  4. Stir in salsa.
  5. Microwave for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  6. Stir until smooth, microwave longer if needed.
  7. Keep warm in crockpot.
  8. Freeze leftovers.
