These bars are an addicting combination of crunchy peanut butter corn flakes and a chocolate/butterscotch frosting. And when the weather is warm they won’t warm up your house.

Serves: 36 bars
Ingredients
1 c light corn syrup
1 c sugar
1 c peanut butter
6 c cornflakes/special K
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bag butterscotch chips
Instructions
Combine the corn syrup and the sugar in a medium sized bowl. Microwave for 3-1/2 minutes stirring about once a minute. Once the mixture comes to a boil (it will turn clear), stir in the peanut butter until smooth.
Pour the peanut butter mixture over cornflakes in a large bowl and stir together. Spread into an even layer in a jelly roll pan and press down.
Combine the chips in a bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until the chips are smooth. Spread over the base.
Allow the bars to set for about 1-2 hours before cutting into bars.
Store in an airtight container.
