Avalanche Bars

A fun twist on a rice krispie bar with white cholate and peanut butter. Making 1.5 times the recipe will fill a 9x13 pan perfectly.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz bag white chocolate chips
  • ¼ creamy peanut butter
  • 3 c rice krispies
  • 1 ½ c mini marshmallows
  • ¼ c mini chocolate chips
  • 2 T mini chocolate chips for garnish

Method
 

  1. Lightly grease a 9x9 or 8x8 pan.
  2. In a large microwaveable bowl melt the white chocolate chips at 50% power for 1 minute and then 30 second intervals stirring in between each increment.
  3. Stir the peanut butter into the melted chips until well combined.
  4. Fold in the rice krispies.
  5. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
  6. Fold in the mini marshmallows and the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Gently press into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Press gently into the pan but don’t compact too much so they don’t get too hard.
  8. Press extra mini chocolate chips into the top for garnish.
  9. Allow to cool. Slice into squares.
  10. Store extra in an air tight container.
