Homemade Vanilla Sugar

Homemade vanilla sugar is a great way to use up leftover vanilla beans after making extract. Use it in anything you’d use plain sugar for to add in a little extra vanilla flavor.
Servings: 4 cups

Ingredients
  

  • 2 vanilla beans
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 quart container

Method

  2. Split the vanilla beans and scrape the caviar out with the back of your knife. Work it into the sugar with your fingers. Add the sugar to the jar along with the vanilla beans.
  3. Allow to age for a couple weeks before using it.
