If I’m not having a latte, then I normally take my coffee black, being a traditionalist and all. Sometimes on weekend mornings though, a little sweeter coffee is nice. I overheard my coworkers talking about this coffee they had at a little coffee shop in Minneapolis. Something sweeter than black coffee thanks to the honey and lighter and more interesting than a cappuccino or latte thanks to the cinnamon. It sounded like an interesting idea, so I decided to give it a try. I think it’s called a Hot Jodie, I’m not sure which coffee shop it’s from, and I’ve never had theirs, so I can’t tell you how it compares, or even give due credit but it did inspire me to create this little treat!
It is really simple, all you need is some honey, cinnamon, and your coffee of choice.
Brew your coffee like normal, add some honey, shake in some cinnamon, stir and enjoy!
I stole this honey from Dana’s house, its vanilla honey and it is amazing! If you were following the blog around Christmas, you’ll know that I am somewhat of a vanilla addict. Maybe I can talk Dana into making me vanilla honey next year 🙂
